During the week, Meghan Markle was spotted wearing a €280 ring by Turkish brand, Kismet by Milka.

The ring which was seen on her middle finger actually holds a really important message and one which was revealed on Twitter by sharp-eyed fans.

The ring features a “Hamsa Hand”, a Middle Eastern symbol that is said to pack plenty of power. Symbolising the “Hand of God”, the Hamsa hand is a protective sign and noted for bringing its owner happiness, luck, health, and good fortune.

Duchess Meghan appeared in good spirits despite admitting she felt “very pregnant”.

And what’s even more symbolic for the Duchess of Sussex is that fact that the symbol is facing down. According to The Yoga Mandala, a Hamsa hand which is facing down “helps welcoming fertility, goodness and, abundance of the universe into your life.”

Since the 38-year-old is set to give birth in spring to her first child alongside Prince Harry, it is speculated that HRH is wearing the ring in hopes to protect her and her baby as they head closer to the mystery due date.

A symbol which is obviously very important to the royal at this time and one which was proudly on show as she revealed feeling “very pregnant” while visiting Brinsworth House – a residential nursing and care home for those who have worked professionally in the entertainment industry.

Meghan is ready to spend her first Christmas as a married woman but one royal tradition will be skipped by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex this year – you can read all about that here.
