It’s not looking like we’re going to get settled weather anytime soon as Met Éireann has warned that flooding is possible in some areas tonight.
Cork and Kerry have a Status Yellow weather warning in place, beginning at 4pm today and ending at 10am tomorrow:
Heavy rain is in store for the day, however temperatures will reach up to 13 degrees.
The weather forecaster said: “Some hazy sunshine and dry apart from isolated light showers. But becoming cloudy, with rain developing on Atlantic coasts later this afternoon.

“This will extend across the western half of the country by evening and to remaining eastern areas early tonight, turning heavy in places, especially in the southwest. Becoming breezy also, with southerly winds increasing fresh and gusty. Top temperatures 10 to 13 C.”
Meanwhile, tonight will get worse: “Tonight will be wet and windy, with outbreaks of persistent and locally heavy rain, with some spot flooding possible in the southwest of the country. Hill and coastal fog also. Mild, lowest temperatures 8 to 11 C. Fresh to strong and gusty southerly winds will be blustery on exposed coasts.”
