You may have missed this big detail in Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s birthday photos

They are some of the most photographed children in the world.

But, no matter what, the most aww-worthy photos of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and now Prince Louis are shared on their birthday.

Okay, well Louis hasn’t actually had any birthday photos released – but his christening ones were very, very cute.

Over the weekend, Kensington Palace released a new photo of Prince George, grinning as he stood in front of a brick wall, to celebrate his fifth birthday.

GoodHousekeeping notes that Kate and William’s eldest child is wearing the exact same outfit he wore to Prince Louis’ christening earlier this month.

And, since the birthday photo was taken by Matt Porteous, it was most likely taken before or after the royal christening.

Which makes total sense, since George would have already been all dressed up – and Porteous was one of the photographers at the event.

But, as the publication notes, it also led to the realisation that his birthday photos are very, very different than his sister’s.

Prince George always appears to have his portraits taken by a professional photographer, while the royal family take a different approach to Princess Charlotte’s photos.

In 2017, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge hired photographer Chris Jackson to snap George’s photo.

And in 2016, it was Matt Porteous who ended up getting the royal nod.

His second birthday photo, taken in 2015, was shot by Mario Testino – and also shot at Charlotte’s christening.

Meanwhile, all of Charlotte’s official photos are captured by her mum, Kate.

The royal family haven’t revealed the reasoning behind the move – and, in fact, there most likely isn’t one.

Either way, the photos are all incredibly adorable.
