Prince Harry’s ex Cressida Bonas had one problem with the royal wedding

We totally get where she’s coming from.

Hats might be the traditional choice for a wedding but that particular fashion ‘rule’ has relaxed a lot in recent times…phew.

However, they’re still expected to be worn at weddings of the royal variety and there were plenty of hats at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle last weekend.

Almost a week on, the royal wedding is still being talked about and Cressida Bonas, Prince Harry’s ex-girlfriend, is the latest person to reference the couple’s nuptials.

The actress and model pens a regular column for The Spectator and this week, the royal event, dubbed the ‘wedding of the year’ by some, received a special mention.

It was based on the fact that Cressida finds hats ‘tricky’ and we completely see her point, you can check it out in full here.

In her opinion, hats are ‘tricky to wear, tricky to look at, and extremely tricky for the poor soul sitting in the pew behind’.

YES.

The 29-year-old then went on to discuss how she attended Harry and Meghan’s wedding last weekend.

“Last weekend I attended the royal wedding. The invitation clearly stated that guests must wear hats. Yikes. I opted for a minimal feathered number — and can only hope I got it right.”

We appreciate that she went with what she wanted to wear and didn’t succumb to any pressure to opt for a full-on, statement hat.

Cressida dated Harry for two years after they were introduced by his cousin Princess Eugenie and they’re believed to have stayed on good terms following their split in 2014.
