Princess Charlotte had the cutest nickname in play school, and it makes a lot of sense

Rebecca O'Keeffe

Sorry, this is adorbs.

As we all know from the adorable pictures, Princess Charlotte started in ‘big school’ last week.

She will join her big brother, Prince George, in Thomas’s Battersea. Cute.

Before now, the princess spent almost two years at Willcocks nursery, where she was described as a “tomboy”.

She also became known for her feisty personality while attended the fancy nursery.

In fact, it was this personality that led to her pals at school giving her a really cute nickname.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, royal expert and author Katie Nicholl explained that Charlotte’s friends at nursery call her Lottie but have also nicknamed her ‘Warrior Princess’.

Sorry, but how cute is that? And we totally see it!

She said: “The other nickname that she had when she was at Willcocks Nursery, which was up until just before the summer, was Warrior Princess.

“I’m wondering if that might be a nickname that will stick with her. Apparently she earned that nickname because obviously she is a Princess, but she’s quite a tomboy.”

“She loves climbing trees and she’s very much an adventurer, she was quite known for her feisty personality.”

Earlier in the chat, Kate explained that most of Charlotte’s pals (and her parents) call her Lottie, which we adore.

She explained:

“Charlotte will be known as Charlotte Cambridge, so that will be her name when she’s called out on the register.”

“But I suspect her friends will call her what most of her friends called her at Willcocks Nursery School, which is Lottie.”

“That’s a name that her parents call her.”

CUTE.
