We’ve seen our fair share of musicals, but we cannot wait to see this again.

Shrek The Musical is making a welcomed return to The Bord Gais Energy Theatre. It’s a great opportunity to bring the kids along to a musical that you too will enjoy. It’s not every day you get to do that.

The theatre confirmed today that it will return from October 23rd to November 4th, 2018. Even though it’s a year away, tickets are going on sale this Friday.

If you missed it the first time around, then make time in your diary for its return. It’s lighthearted and funny, with some great songs that will make you want to sing along.

Leading the cast as the main character ogre Shrek will be Steffan Harri, having previously starred in the original UK tour of the musical. Also joining the cast will be Marcus Ayton as Shrek’s wisecracking sidekick Donkey and Samuel Holmes as pint-sized villain Lord Farquaad.

They haven’t cast the role of Fiona as of yet, but given that Amanda Holden and Kimberley Walsh have both played the role, we’re sure they’ll pick someone just as good.

Here’s a taster of what to expect.
