Tensions are at an all time high in Weatherfield as Coronation Street builds up to the tragic Underworld roof collapse.

And tonight’s dramatic hour-long episode will see Carla Connor begin to realise she may have pushed someone too far.

According to Metrothe factory boss’ nightmare begins tonight when Nick Tilsley returns to the factory after setting up the barber shop with his brother, David.

After he learns that Carla plans to outsource work and close the factory, he storms onto the floor and tells the rest of the workers – who are stunned when they realise they could all lose their jobs.

She admits to Nick that the roof needs replacing, but she can’t afford shutting down production. Neither of them end up realising that Robert Preston – who blames Carla for his recent split from Michelle – listening to them from the balcony above.

As the Underworld workers begin to turn on Carla, Nick spills the beans to David about what has been happening – and says he reckons he’d be better off if the factory just burned down.

Carla ends up finding a brick has been has been put through her car window, with Robert ominously lurking nearby.

Could whoever put the brick through her window be behind the Underworld roof collapse next week? Or has someone else to blame?

The long-running soap has officially confirmed there are six official suspects in the factory disaster: Carla Connor, Seb Franklin, Gary Windass, Peter Barlow, Nick Tilsley and Robert Preston.

The roof collapse initially will seem like an accident, before later being confirmed as foul play.
