The Stella Theatre in Ranelagh is launching parent and baby movie screenings

Keeley Ryan

A brilliant idea.

The Stella Theatre has announced that it will be launching a number of parent and baby movie showings at its Ranelagh location.

The Dublin cinema’s Baby On Board screenings will take place every other Wednesday for adults who want to bring their little one (up to 12 months).

Each screening will be a mid-morning movie – around 10 or 10.30am –  so you can kick back and enjoy the latest releases in the luxury of Stella.

The films will be shown with softened sound and dim lighting for the comfort of your baby.

Tickets cost €15 and include a hot drink, as well as a flaky, lovely pastry from DIME Coffee for you to enjoy while you relax and get hooked to the silver screen.

There will be plenty of room to stow your pram safely and there will be a member of staff on hand who’ll be happy to assist with this.

You can meet other cinema loving parents – and its no stress if your tiny tot starts tearing up.

There’s no word on what the first screenings will be just yet, but there are plenty of fantastic options hitting cinemas in the next few weeks – so we can only imagine they’ll be great.

A spokesperson for the theatre said:

“Join us for Baby On Board. Keep an eye on our listings and sign up to our weekly newsletter to see what’s coming up!”
