There’s a huge tragedy in store for Emmerdale next week as one villager gets killed

Keeley Ryan

A disaster is going to hit Emmerdale next week……and one of the villagers won’t make it out alive.

According to DigitalSpy, it’s all kicking off in a double-bill next Thursday.

The publication reports that an official spoiler from the show hints that “a terrible event” is going to happen in the village next week – and it’s going to cause the death of a resident.

However, exactly what happens – and who it happens to – are all currently under wraps.

But since the mystery event is set to unfold on Thursday, May 17 – the same day that Gerry Roberts is set to confront Lachlan White.

A spoiler-filled trailer released by the TV show showed things getting heated between the pair after Gerry finally heard what was on the voice mail Lachlan left him.

When the murderous teen, played by Thomas Atkinson, killed his mum Chrissie and graddad Lawrence in a rage-induced car crash last year, he half-confessed to his pal in a voice message.

The crash also left his aunt, Rebecca, with brain damage and memory loss.

But after he got ahold of Gerry’s phone and deleted the voicemail, Lachlan thought it was going to be smooth sailing.

However, after Gerry finds out the truth, he confronts Lachlan and insist that he tell Rebecca what happened.

Later on in the trailer, they are both at a building site – and Lachlan convinces Gerry to go into what looks like a dangerous place.

The trailer ends with Gerry shouting for help while an upset Lachlan sits with his head in his hands.

It could totally be a coincidence that it’s all unfolding on the same night, but it’s not looking good for Gerry right now.
