The ‘amazing’ trick to soothe teething babies that is perfect for summer

Comforting a teething baby is hard at the best of times.

After all, there is only so much Bonjella you can give them and only so many Sophie the Giraffes that they can get through before it becomes too unbearable for them.

But one trick doing the rounds on Facebook may just be the perfect way to help your little one – especially with the summer months ahead.

A photo recently shared on The Parenting Pack Facebook page shows a mum making her own teethers for her little one – and it is so simple to do.

Basically, all you have to do is squeeze out baby puree into different shapes on a tray. After you pop it into the freezer, your little one will have loads of yummy – and soothing – new teethers.

The post read:

“Now this is an awesome hack! Squeeze yummy baby pouches onto greaseproof paper on a tray and pop in the freezer for fun, frozen, yummy teethers! So soothing on baby gums!

“We have seen this idea around this week and as usual The Parent Pack had to make it our own! We made lots of cute shapes suitable for little hands!

“One pouch makes loads of teethers! We are obsessed!”

The hack, which was first shared last month, has since gone viral – with many mums and dads eager to give it a try for their own little one.

The Parent Pack founders, mums Katie Jones and Emma McDonagh, told Manchester Evening News

“We’d seen a very similar idea on social media, but wanted to create a more playful and much safer idea. We thought it would be fab to make cool, edible shapes for teething babies.”
