Twitter is making big changes to improve its security

We find them everywhere.

No matter what end of the Internet we end up on, we always find spammers. They can be bot accounts or weird people emailing you, but no matter where you go, they are there.

They're particularly bad on sites like Instagram and Twitter, but it looks like the latter is trying to change all that.

The social network has just made a statement about efforts to help security on the site.

Taking to Twitter (obvs), it announced that it has now limited the amount of accounts you can follow in one day from 1,000 to 400.

In recent years, this has become a tool for spammers and automated accounts which would repeatedly follow and unfollow the same account... which we can all agree is rather annoying.

Some businesses can even buy software to follow up to 1,000 accounts a day, so it has become a bit of a business method.

Twitter said: "Follow, unfollow, follow, unfollow. Who does that? Spammers. So we’re changing the number of accounts you can follow each day from 1,000 to 400. Don’t worry, you’ll be just fine."

So basically, if you're not a spammer, you'll have nothing to worry about.
