Wedding photographer shares the sign that hints a couple won’t last

Interesting…

On the wedding day, the wedding photographer is probably the only person who gets more than a couple of minutes with the bride and groom. Between your friends at the wedding, your new extended in-laws and your family it’s hard to get enough time with everyone.

The photographer is usually with the couple from the start of their day, until their first dance. They get an insight into the couple’s relationship and how they are feeling and acting on the day.

They see the nerves, the tear and the laughter. But, between all the joy from the day, there are actually some signs that hint the relationship is doomed to fail, according to one photographer.

Indy 100 reports that wedding photographer Gretchen Wakeman says she knows a marriage isn’t made to last from what she sees at the wedding reception. When the bride and groom are mingling with the crowd and not paying any attention to each other she says that it’s a bad sign.

“After the wedding ceremony, most couples are excited about the reception.

I have photographed an entire reception and only captured a handful of images of the couple together ― that’s a very bad sign.”

She reckons that by paying more attention to their guests, it means they aren’t fit to last.

While this is an interesting insight, it’s also worth noting that with a crowd of 200 plus, the bride and groom need to split up to make sure they get around to all their guests. It’s not necessarily a sign of weakness in the relationship, but just being practical.
