Prince William had a thoughtful comment for Kate’s dad after he walked his daughter up the aisle

What Prince William said to Kate’s dad after he walked his daughter up the aisle is TOO much.

Although there was a huge amount of attention surrounding Meghan and Harry’s wedding last May, we can’t help but remember Kate and William’s big day back in 2011.

They married in Westminster Abbey and there were huge crowds waiting to get a glimpse of the happy couple with others tuning in to live broadcasts see them say their vows.

You can imagine that it must have been a little nerve-wracking for Kate’s father, Michael Middleton, to give his daughter away considering there were so many people watching his every move.

However, Prince William did his best to put him at ease and even cracked a little joke when Kate and Michael reached the altar on the morning of April 29.

Prince William

In her biography, Kate: An Autobiography, Marcia Moody revealed that Prince William turned around to greet them and: said “just a quiet family wedding then”.

We all know that it was the exact opposite of an intimate, family-only affair but it was thoughtful of William to acknowledge that Michael might be feeling a tad nervous.

Michael later said he wasn’t anxious in any way because he had his daughter Kate on his arm and yeah, it doesn’t get much cuter than that.

According to The Express, he later said that the whole thing felt like a dream until he opened the newspapers the next day and saw all the photos that been taken.

A very understandable reaction considering all the cameras that would have been pointed at Kate and her father as they made their way into Westminster Abbey and people jostled to get the all-important photo of the gorgeous bride.

Kate and William will celebrate their eighth wedding anniversary next month, the same month as their youngest son Prince Louis turns one.

They are also parents to Prince George (5) and Princess Charlotte (3) and the family of five have many adoring fans around the world.
