And there’s even more good news.

Ever since the reboot debuted in North America late last year, it seems like Will & Grace can do no wrong.

Which is why fans of the recently revived sitcom will be overjoyed at the latest news about the series: it’s coming back for a third season.

According to Entertainment Weeklythe renewal was announced at PaleyFest in Los Angeles on Saturday.

The four actors, as well as the writing team of Max Mutchnick and David Kohan, and the director Jimmy Burrows, were all on the panel.

Kohan began by sharing that that second season had been picked up for an additional five episodes, extending the run to a total of 18.

Then, according to EW, Eric McCormack (who plays Will) reminded him of the other news: that the series had been picked up for a third season – before the first even ended.

The publication reports that NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt said in a  statement:

“As far as I’m concerned, we can’t get enough of Will & Grace and 23 more episodes is music to my ears. We’re eternally grateful that Debra, Eric, Sean, and Megan feel the same way and wanted to keep this good thing going.

“I’m overwhelmed by the euphoric response the new show has received from the press and the audience, and my hat is off to the unrivalled writing team of Max Mutchnick and David Kohan, as well as the brilliant directing of Jimmy Burrows, for consistently delivering one of the best shows on television.”
