It’s not even Halloween and things are going to be scary AF.
Look, if you wanted to watch Coronation Street and not be scared sh*tless, then now is not the time because there’s a ghost about to haunt the entirety of Weatherfield and we are not able for it.
Nah, just messing, there’s no ghost.
Like, it wouldn’t be the most ridiculous thing Corrie have ever done if there was, but there isn’t, so let’s just forget about it.
There isn’t going to be a ghost… but there is going to be someone returning from beyond the grave, which is sort of the same thing.
Katie McDonald, the presumed dead daughter of Liz and Jim McDonald, is going to be making her way to the street very, very soon.
And she is absolutely going to shake things up – in the most ridiculous way possible.
Katie was presumed dead way back in 1992 and everyone was like, grand, she’s dead, let’s mourn her and get on with our lives.
As it turns out though, she was actually adopted by a lovely couple in Australia (yeah, really) and now that she’s 18, she wants to find her birth parents.
Yeah, we don’t know how Jim and Liz weren’t aware of this either but sure look, we’ll just go with it, we suppose.

Katie will be played by Hannah Ellis Ryan and apparently, Jim has been aware all along that his daughter was actually alive or something which we don’t buy at all.
… But she’s returning to the street with him soon enough so we guess we’ll just have to tune in to see it all kick off.
