Mad scenes.
Last night’s Late Late Show was certainly one for the history books as Storm Emma swept through the country and caused most people to batten down the hatches, Ryan Tubridy believed the “show must go on”, and that it did.
With the most bizarre show to date and an audience of roughly 12 people. Ryan filled the show with random slots like sending Marty Morrissey to report from a wedding in town that went on despite the weather conditions, a seriously long segment on the famine, random interviews with people off the street… oh and bread for everyone in the audience. Yep… a LOAF of Brennan’s bread for all the audience members.
As to be expected, most people took to Twitter during last night’s show, many puzzled as to what the hell was going on while others sat back, laughed and poured a stiff drink.
Here are some of the best tweets that really sum up last night’s show.
It’s a unique night in the 56 year history of the #LateLateShow..
For safety reasons we had to cancel the audience BUT the show must go on.
It’s got that “day off school” vibe in the studio ? pic.twitter.com/MAXmG3nrfa— Jim Sheridan (@Jim_Sheridan) March 2, 2018
The #LateLateShow this evening is a wild ride. Marty Morrissey expected to fill 15 minutes, reporting from a local wedding in the Radisson.

I am screaming. The #LateLateShow has no audience, no guests and they have literally pulled people in off the street for a chat. pic.twitter.com/9JS1iGLJS0

The #LateLateShow is really outdoing itself today. “Coming up after the break… I’ve no idea. See you shortly.” ? I wish all chat shows were like this!

You can’t make this up, I tell ya!
