Last weekend, Sophie Carter married Robert Snuggs in Norfolk.

Sophie, being a close friend to the royal family and godmother to Princess Charlotte, had many well-known faces in attendance including Prince William, Kate Middleton and of course, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who had the important roles of page boy and bridesmaid.

But two guests not in attendance were Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. Many were surprised by this pairs lack of attendance since Sophie is such a close friend of Harry’s, even attending his wedding in May of this year.

But, it appears the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had arranged other plans. According to People, the pair actually spent the weekend in Amsterdam.

According to reports, the pair jetted off for the weekend.

Celebrating the launch of Soho House’s newest venue, it is reported that Meghan and Harry travelled over for the opening which was invite-only and included a weekend of pampering.

The Sussex’s are rumoured to have taken a canal ride as well as having an Italian feast in Cecconi’s.

But, it was a short trip because on Monday evening, it was back to work for the royal pair. Visiting Loughborough University, the royals met with students from Coach Core, a program that trains young people to become coaches and encourages the next generation of athletes.
