It looks like Eileen might meet her end alongside Phelan this week

Jade Hayden

It’s been decades since Pat Phelan came into our lives.

Relationships have ended, lives have begun, and children have grown old in the time that the Weatherfield lad has terrorised an entire community.

In reality, it’s only been a few months, but it feels like a lifetime – not since my last relationship has something become so drawn out, unenjoyable, and utterly pointless.

It seems though that this week might be the time that Phelan finally meets his end.

At the same time though, we’ve said this before when he literally almost got buried alive by concrete and he was still grand so whatever, we’re instantly distrustful of everything these days, trust no one.

Still though, one can always hope.

Picture the scene – the concrete risks being dug up and exposing Phelan’s murder victims so he grabs Eileen and the two head off on a holiday.

However, while they’re there, the bodies are indeed discovered and Tim rings up Eileen to tell her what they’ve found and to essentially warn her that her life is in danger.

Good man, Tim.

Phelan, always one step ahead though, intercepts the message Tim has left, throws his wife’s phone away, and starts going a bit mad… but this isn’t before Eileen has already heard everything.

She calls Phelan a liar and a murderer and she seems fairly angry, threatening to throw the keys to the boat over the rail (they are on a boat, by the way).

Phelan’s not about to go down without a fight though, as the two have a bit of a scuffle, the railing breaks, and they go plunging into the icy sea below.

It would appear at this stage that Eileen and Phelan have both died, but honestly, Eileen deserves better and we genuinely hope that she lives.

This’ll all be kicking off this Friday at 8.30pm, by the way, so make sure you cancel all your plans and tune in.
