Mothercare recall swinging crib urging people to ‘stop using it immediately’

Mothercare has issued a recall of their swinging crib product due to safety fears.

Some versions of the swinging crib are being recalled because the metal locking pin is not engaging fully on the products.

People who bought cribs with product numbers 477115-7 (White) and 477109-6 (Natural) are advised to stop using them immediately.

It is estimated that 23 units of the cribs have been sold in Ireland through both online and in-store sales.

A statement on the Competition and Consumer Protection (CCPC) website, says:

“Consumers who are in possession of this product (with one of the effected product codes) should stop using it immediately.

“The crib can be returned to the Mothercare store of purchase where a full refund or replacement crib will be offered.”

Alternatively, those who bought the crib online can follow the online process for a refund or replacement.
