A mum has shared a warning after finding a “used needle” on a public baby changing table.

Emma Kennedy was in a supermarket in the UK changing her 22-month-old daughter when she noticed the syringe on the changing table.

The mum told Cafe Mom that she told staff about what she had found, but that she shared the image away to urge others to be extra vigilant when using public bathrooms.

On Facebook, she wrote:

“I am beyond disgusted and absolutely filled with anger that someone would stoop so low as to leave a used needle in a baby changing toilet on the baby changing table!

“This was Morrison’s in town and to be fair to them it was due to be checked and they acted immediately on me telling them. Luckily Harper hadn’t gone anywhere near it as we were just using the toilet.

“Please please be extra vigilant and check any baby facilities before using them.”

The supermarket apologised to Emma over the incident.

She told the publication that she doesn’t blame the supermarket for what happened, but that she hoped they would lock their bathroom doors in future.
