Post by Belfast business goes viral after they help save a young child from bully

What a wonderful thing to do.

A small Belfast business has recently gone viral for their act of kindness.

Gerardos chipper posted to Facebook over the weekend with a story about how they helped a young person escape their bully and how their business is a ‘safe space’.

The post that has been shared hundreds of times reads;

“A few weeks back a young person was hanging about inside the shop. The young person bought a sausage but took ages to eat it and then hung about for another while.

Our staff asked them what was up. The young person confided that they were being bullied and the bully was waiting on them at the top of the road. A member of our team drove the young person home.

We want you to know that our shop is a SAFE SPACE, for everyone, no matter what. You can come to the shop if you need a SAFE SPACE. We will get you help. Please let everyone in our community know this.”

Having experienced similar instances of bullying myself I think this is an absolutely incredible gesture on the part of the staff involved.

Would you like to see more businesses declare themselves a safe space to help bullying victims?
