On May 19, 2018, when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tied the knot, Queen Elizabeth bestowed a new title upon them.

That was the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. This tradition of giving royal couples a new title when they get married is one which has been around for a lifetime and so, in accordance with their new titles, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are set to make their first joint trip to Sussex.

According to People, the pair will land in Sussex on October 3, “where they will see the historic Sussex Declaration, open a Tech Park and visit with locals.”

And they’re roster for the day looks pretty busy.

The pair will be doing a whirlwind tour of Sussex which starts in Chichester, West Sussex and then takes them along the coast to East Sussex to see the seaside city of Brighton and Hove before finishing their day trip at a youth centre in Peacehaven where they will meet young people to talk about the importance of talking about mental health and emotional wellbeing.

This trip is ahead of their first royal tour which will take place later this month.

Their Royal Highnesses have been invited to visit Australia and New Zealand by the countries’ respective governments. The Duke and Duchess will visit Fiji and Tonga at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office starting October 16 for a two week period.
