Princess Eugenie’s wedding cake sounds absolutely divine

Princess Eugenie’s having tequila cocktails and red velvet wedding cake at her big day tomorrow.

The bride-to-be has enlisted the services of fiancee Jack Brooksbank’s tequila brand to create some bespoke drinks for their wedding weekend.

Apparently, Eugenie has even allowed Jack to “be in charge” of the alcohol selection.

How kind of her.

Sky News reports that Jack, the European brand manager for a tequila company founded by George Clooney, has been tasked with ensuring that his wedding guests are sufficiently liquored up over the course of the wedding.

The wedding cake, however, has apparently been a joint effort with both parties settling on a five-tier red velvet bake.

The cake will include three tiers of red velvet and two of chocolate sponge, both covered with butter cream and white icing. The cake will have an autumnal theme and be decorated with precise sugar work.

400 eggs will be used to bake the giant cake.

Baker Sophie Cabot was chosen to create the masterpiece after she provided some pastries and biscuits for Eugenie’s father for an event he was hosting.

Eugenie and her husband-to-be will wed tomorrow at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.
