Things aren’t looking the best for Stacey Dooley ahead of this week’s Strictly

Jade Hayden

Ah, god.

Things aren’t looking unreal for Stacey Dooley ahead of this week’s Strictly Come Dancing following her injury that left her hospitalised during rehearsals.

The documentary filmmaker tore an intercostal muscle behind her rib earlier in the week and was advised by doctors to take it easy.

She later wrote on Instagram that she would be would be performing on Saturday despite the pain that she was in.

However, a video of Dooley rehearsing with partner Kevin Clifton on It Takes Two may have suggested things aren’t good entirely to plan.

Ex Strictly dancer Iain Waite said that he doesn’t think Dooley is going to be able to perform as well on Saturday.

Watching the video he said:

“Every time she turns she is kind of holding in. I think the injury has set them back.

“I do believe she has an injury – but luckily they are still practising so she should be OK by Saturday. But I think it has set them back a little bit. Fingers crossed they’re going to be okay.”

Dooley and Clifton are expected to perform a Street and Commercial number to Empire State of Mind (Part II) by Alicia Keys.
