A Baby Shark TV show is coming to Netflix and you'll never know silence again

By now, you may have made your peace with Baby Shark.

You may have stopped trying to get your children to listen to anything else.

You may have quietly accepted that it’s a song that you have to hear multiple times a day, every day.

You may even have started to enjoy it.

We hope for your sake that you have because Baby Shark is about to hit Netflix.

The viral hit has spawned spin-off versions and bestselling soft toys and even sparked a sexism row in its native Korea, and Netflix viewers can expect to see videos based on the song on the streaming service later this year.

The company behind Pinkfong, the channel that unleashed Baby Shark on the world, also wants to turn it into a cartoon series and a musical, Bloomberg reports.

One of its founders, Lee Seung-kyu, told thd publication that they’re looking at video games too so it looks as though we won’t hear the last of this earworm for a long while yet.

What started as a song about a family of sharks on an obscure educational Youtube channel in 2015 has become a worldwide phenomenon.

The original video has been viewed over 2.1 billion times and hit number six in the UK singles chart (though it only peaked at 22 here in Ireland).
