RTÉ are looking for “confident and curious” children to take part in a new television programme for RTÉjr.

The show will be about science, how the world works, and all of life’s little curiosities.

The national broadcaster is looking for children between the ages of five and eight-years-old.

They have also said that they are looking for pairs of children, so siblings, cousins, or friends would be ideal.

The children and their parent/guardian must be available to audition for the programme in Cork City on Saturday, March 24.

RTÉ said:

“Parents will also need to submit a short video of their child, no longer than one min in length where we would like to hear a curious science question that your child has always wanted to know the answer to.

“The video could also contain your child telling us a couple of interesting things about themselves.”

Parents are asked to label their video file with their child’s name before submitting.

Each child must be given their own application form, which can be filled out online here.

The closing date for applications is March 21 at 5pm.

Successful candidates will be contacted by the afternoon of March 23.
