Dunnes introduce a new range of clothing for children with additional needs

Melissa Carton

A welcome addition to their collections.

Having a child with additional needs comes with certain challenges but there are ways that it can be made that little bit easier for parents.

If the clothing hasn’t been adapted for wheelchair use, dressing your child can take a considerable amount of time in the morning.

Dunnes Stores has always been a staple for Irish parents and now the store has become even more inclusive with their new range of clothing especially designed for children with additional needs.

Among the pieces in the new range are easy dressing leggings designed to keep kids comfortable. The leggings feature a higher rise waistband and a concealed care label to prevent irritation.

They even come in a convenient pack of two (starting at €10) to mix and match with outfits.

Also in the range are the easy dressing button joggers priced at €12 to €14.

With an elasticated waist featuring cuffed ends and side pockets, these have a fully opening inner leg seam (up to ages 5-6 years) and a concealed care label so as not to cause irritation.

With the weather getting chilly, these wheelchair accessible jackets available in pink and blue will definitely come in handy.

Thoughtfully designed to open at both the back and front with a soft-touch adhesive strip, this snug, shower resistant jacket makes dressing a breeze.

The jackets is finished with mock snap fasteners, a superlight thermal layer and a removable hood, perfect for the changeable Irish weather.

Other items in the range include easy dressing tops, easy dressing shirts and easy dressing dresses.

You can browse the entire additional needs clothing range on the Dunnes Stores website or at participating shops nationwide.
