Yes, please.

If you have ever struggled to get your kids to pick up their goddamn crap from all over the house – well, then you are going to want to get your hands on the new children’s book by tidying guru Marie Kondo.

Yes, you read that correctly.

The Japanese mum-of-two, who rose to superstar fame after her book The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up, was turned into a hit Netflix TV show, is now taking her message of tidiness to a whole new generation by releasing a children’s book called Kiki & Jax: The Life-Changing Magic of Friendship.

How is this going to teach your kids to be tidyer?

Well, according to Kondo, drawing inspiration from her much-discussed KonMari method of tidiness, the book tells the story of two best friends who, well, don’t have a lot in common (Kiki’s a collector, Jax is a sorter).

Sharing news of the book release on social media, Kondo wrote: “It’s a timeless story about friendship, and I hope that the characters of Kiki and Jax will inspire children and families to tidy and embrace joy!”

Kiki & Jax follows the eponymous pair of friends – Kiki, a collector, and Jax, a sorter – who run into trouble when Kiki’s things begin to get in the way of her living her best life, and then Jax, as you guessed it, helps her find her (tidy) way.

Kiki & Jax: The Life Changing Magic of Friend is currently available for pre-order and ships on November 5th.
