Anyone who has ever had to live through the toddler years with their kids will no doubt have gone through phases and stages when it comes to their eating habits.
Toddlers, being as indecisive and flat out bonkers as they are, are not at all strangers to deciding to hate a certain food they loved only yesterday, and vice versa.
And this picky eating debacle can really start to get on your nerves, as I am sure you know, when you have chopped and cooked and cut up the most delicious, nutritious meal in the land, only for your tot to completely refuse to let even the tiniest bit pass their lips. Fun times.
And look, we have all been that soldier, and every parent eventually comes up with their own way to deal with this, but the other day Chrissy Teigen shared the mealtime hack she uses with her own toddler, Luna, and we have to say, Chrissy is on the ball with this one. e
A while back, Teigen shared a video on Instagram of the laminated menu she made to play restaurant with Luna in the hopes she’ll feel empowered to order her meal and actually eat.
Now Luna, 3, gets to play restaurant, which is not only no doubt tons of fun, but also awesome because according to a recent study by the American Academy of Pediatrics, playing with mum like this will help children develop skills like self-advocacy, decision-making, negotiation and a sense of agency.
