People do love a good toy, yeah.
Next month, the Toy Show is on.
It’ll be an exciting time for every single of us who enjoys toys, minor Irish celebrities, and drinking games.
Fun for all the family, etc.
And while most of the country would part with a limb to attend the Toy Show just once in their lives, in all actuality, all you need to do is answer a few questions via an online form on RTE’s website and you’ll be in with a chance of winning tickets.

However, like all things in life, nabbing a ticket is unfortunately not all that simple.
A lot of people are interested in going, which means that a lot of people are going to apply, which means that Ryan Tubridy is understandably “gobsmacked” by the demand for tickets.
Or so he says, anyway.
“We are gobsmacked by the response this year, it just gets bigger and bigger, everyone seems to want to be there,” he told RTÉ.
“I think it’s also in response to how warm and kind and inclusive the show is (…) people want a piece of that pie and I don’t blame them, it’s the most wonderful cauldron to be in and the most wonderful time of the year.
“If I wasn’t doing what I do, I would also be among the 100,000 applicants for tickets because it’s the best show in town.”
It is, indeed.
Last year, the aforementioned 100,000 people applied for Toy Show tickets so it’s not entirely impossible that even more hopefuls will be trying their luck this year.
The Christmas special airs on RTÉ One on Friday, November 29.
Tubridy said previously that although he can’t reveal the theme for 2019’s show just yet, he does think that it’s going to be “the biggest one yet.”
