Goodnight Goodnight Construction Site

Want to speed up bedtime a little?

Well, then you might just want to get your credit card out and drop £5.99 on this particular Amazon order.

According to Good Housekeeping, parents are going ga-ga for this bedtime tale, claiming it is helping them get their kids to sleep in no-time at all, and, at present, Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site has a whopping 3000 5-star reviews on Amazon in the US, and has debuted as #1 on the New York Times Best Sellers List.

Yes, really.

“Especially if read in a quiet, soothing tone, I can’t think of a more perfect bedtime book. You know how seeing someone yawn usually makes you yawn yourself? I think that’s the exact effect the illustrations have,” wrote one reviewer.

Sounds good? We know!

Another happy customer said they enjoyed the read … even when they weren’t accompanied by a toddler. “Love this book! It was given as a gift, but I must of read it half a dozen times before wrapping it up!”

The story is simple enough and suitable for kids of all (young) ages. It’s the end of the day at the big construction site and the trucks are getting ready to hit the hay. One by one, each mixer, dump truck, and bulldozer finishes up their job and says goodnight. Sounds sweet enough? It is. And the illustrations are pretty darn adorable too, making it pretty much the perfect, snoozy bedtime read.
