Girl found injured in Co. Clare house is in critical condition

A girl found injured in Co. Clare is in a critical condition in hospital.

Emergency services attended a scene at a residence in Clarecastle, Co. Clare today.

The alarm was raised just before 8 am this morning.

Gardaí and emergency services found the girl with serious injuries this morning.

According to The Independent, the young girl suffered injuries to her head.

An adult female was also found unconscious at the residence in Clarecastle. She is also in a critical condition in hospital.

Gardaí confirmed that the woman was unconscious when they found her.

An incident room has been set up at Ennis Garda Station.

A Senior Investigating officer will oversee the investigation.

Gardaí issued a statement following this morning’s incident.

They confirmed they were alerted just before 8 am on September 27th.

Gardaí are “investigating all the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a female child with serious injuries”.

Emergency services removed the child from the house and rushed her to Limerick University Hospital.

“Investigations are ongoing.”

A family liaison officer is supporting the girl’s loved ones.
