Headteacher Emma Pattison made a distressed call to her sister before she was killed.
Pattison and her daughter were killed by her husband George before he died by suicide.
The family was found at their home on the grounds of Epsom College on Sunday, February 5th.
Hours before their death, Pattison contacted a loved one.
According to the BBC, she made a distressed call to her sister.
However, Emma and her daughter were already dead before she arrived at the scene.
Surrey Police are now treating the case as a homicide investigation.
Yesterday, Surrey Police confirmed George Pattison had a licensed and registered gun.
“Officers are confident there is no third-party involvement and there is no wider threat or risk to the community.
“A firearm was found at the scene and has been recovered by officers, however, causes of death will not be confirmed until post-mortems have been completed later this week.
“We can confirm the firearm was licensed and registered to George Pattison,” Surrey Police confirmed.
Detective Chief Inspector Kimball Edey said: “We are working around the clock to investigate and understand the exact circumstances which led to this point.
“We understand the public concern and upset, and we will clarify what we can when we can while respecting the right to a level of privacy for the families of those who have lost their lives.
Emma’s loved ones have been paying tribute since her untimely passing.
One wrote, “She was kind, knowledgeable, and a visionary. May her soul rest in perfect peace.”
Another added, “Emma was an inspiring leader and a fabulous role model. Those who knew her are better for having done so.”
“I trained with Emma, and we shared a flat during our PGCE year. She was an absolute beacon of what teaching and leading can be,” another shared.
