Investigation launched following sudden death of boy (2) in England

A police investigation has been launched following the sudden death of a toddler in West Yorkshire.

According to reports, a two-year-old boy has tragically died suddenly at home.

The young boy passed away on Monday, April 17th.

Emergency services were alerted after the young child fell ill in the bath on Monday evening.

According to The Mirror, an investigation has been launched by West Yorkshire Police.

Paramedics and police arrived at the boy’s family home in Knottingley at 6.45 pm on Monday. They then rushed the child to the hospital.

However, doctors were unable to save the two-year-old.

The young boy was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital.

West Yorkshire Police issued a statement following his sudden death.

A spokesperson confirmed that the toddler’s death is being treated as “a sudden death in childhood”.

“Enquiries are being carried out to establish the full circumstances.

“The incident is being treated as a sudden death in childhood.

Officers continued, “We ask that people consider the family and respect their privacy at what is clearly a very difficult time for them.”
