The babies were found underneath the upturned bath in the garden.
Two baby boys were found alive and well in an upturned bathtub after a US tornado carried them away.
15-month-old Kaden and 3-month-old Dallas were put into a bathtub by their grandmother Clara to protect them from the deadly tornado that killed 90 people in the southern states of the US.
According to Sky News, the babies were in the tub with blankets, pillows and a bible and then the house in Hopkins County, Kentucky began to shake.
Clara was hit in the head by the bath’s water tank and then the bath was ripped from the floor along with the house’s foundation.
She told WFIE-TV: “I felt the rumbling. I felt the shaking of the house. Next thing I knew, the tub had lifted and it was out of my hands. I couldn’t hold on.”
She then began searching for her grandchildren among the wrecked house.
“I was looking everywhere to see where the tub may be. I had no clue at all. All I could say was ‘Lord, please bring my babies back safely. Please, I beg thee,'” she recalled.
The Sheriff’s officials then helped Clara look for the boys, and thankfully they were found alive under the upturned bath in the garden. They had been kept dry from the rain.
3-month-old Dallas had sustained a bump on his head and some bleeding. He was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center Nashville for treatment.
At least 90 people were killed in the tornado which ripped through a number of US states last week.
