Adele gets honest about the anxiety that left her bed-bound after divorce
"It made me really sad" Adele admitted.
Adele has opened up about how her divorce left her with bed-ridden anxiety.
The singer, who is set to release her new album 30 next week, admitted she was "embarrassed" when news of her divorce broke in 2019.
She told Rolling Stone, "It made me really sad. Then having so many people that I don’t know, know that I didn’t make that work … it f****** devastated me. I was embarrassed."
The Easy On Me singer filed for divorce from Simon Konecki in 2019. Their divorce was finalised this year.
She said she never felt present in any of her previous relationships, including her marriage to Konecki.
“No one made me feel embarrassed, but you feel like you didn’t do a good job," she explained.

Following her split from her husband, the singer revealed she suffered "an intense few weeks of bed-bound anxiety".
The singer reached a turning point on the day of her 31st birthday in 2019.
The Rolling In The Deep singer said she felt hopeful on May 5th.
"It was the first time I felt I’d had a really nice evening and I was OK being in the house and going to bed on my own. I was not excited, but I was looking forward to the next day," she revealed.
The singer said accepting that her emotions would be up and down helped her through it.
It is believed the singer will open up further about her divorce in her album 30.
Working on 30 helped her process her divorce, the Chasing Pavements singer admitted.
