Breaking: Gardaí issue Child Rescue Alert for 2-year-old girl

2-year-old Aoife Haynes Murphy was taken from Mayo this morning.

Gardaí have issued a Child Rescue Alert.

They are seeking the public’s help in finding 2-year-old Aoife Haynes Murphy.

An Garda Síochána have serious concerns that there is an immediate and serious risk to the health or welfare of the toddler.

It is believed Aoife is currently travelling with her parents, Paul Murphy and Kimberley Haynes in a Black Kia Sportage car – registration number KE21ENH.

It is understood that they are in the Dublin City Centre area at this time.

Aoife was taken from Swinford Health Centre in Co. Mayo at 10:10 am in contravention of a court order.

The young girl has fair hair.  She was wearing a pink bodysuit with a checked dress, cream tights, pink doc martin boots and an animal print jacket with a hood when she was last seen.

The distinctive jacket has a number of animal prints including giraffes, zebras and elephants.

33-year-old Paul Murphy has been described as 5″6 in height with a slight build with shaved hair.

34-year-old Kimberley is described as being 5 foot 8 in height of slim build with long straight black hair.

Anyone with information has been urged to come forward and contact the Gardaí on 999 or 112.

The Gardaí have warned the public not to approach those involved, but to contact Gardaí with as much information as they can give.
