JJ and friends will be hitting the road!

We all know CoComelon has a strong hold on toddlers, and turning it on is one way to keep them entertained.

But it looks like that entertainment will soon go from the small screen to a live stage.

Yep, the animation phenomenon is set to go on tour with a live production as Moonbug Entertainment, the company behind it, is partnering with EMC Presents to produce CoComelon LIVE! JJ’s Journey.

The show, which will be the series’ first-ever live production, is set to feature over 20 songs – including hits from the series as well as new music.

The companies are promising an interactive experience for young fans and their families, with more details about the live show to be announced later this year.

In a statement, general manager of CoComelon Patrick Reese said: “As we expand our hugely popular preschool show beyond streaming platforms and innovative licensing deals, we’re excited to bring our audience a fun, immersive and exciting face-to-face CoComelon experience.

“Michael Cohl is an industry-leading producer with a long track record of working with the best artists and brands in the entertainment space, and creating world class live events. We’re thrilled to be partnering with him and the EMC team to transform our beloved animated show into a spectacular, in-person experience.”

With brightly-coloured animation and sing-along songs, CoComelon has become a global phenomenon, though it has also drawn criticism for being “hyper-stimulating” for kids.

Still, the show has billions of views on YouTube, where it originated, and topped the list of most watched Netflix shows in 2020.
