The only C word I want to hear is croissant.
Season 2 of Emily in Paris is here and it is exactly what we all need right now.
It’s charming, full of fashion, croissants and ridiculous drama. It’s the escapism we’ve all wanted and needed for Christmas.
We all fell hopelessly in love with season 1 and dreamed of jetting off to Paris.
But after the success of season 1, would season 2 live up to our expectations?
I was lucky enough to watch season 2 at the start of the month. I vowed to pace myself and watch only one episode a day.
There were 10 episodes to savour like a crumbly pain au chocolate, but I zoomed through them within a day.
Season 2 is just that good.

I adored season 1 of Emily in Paris, but this season is a little bit more exciting, the budget is bigger which means the style, the settings, and the cast are leagues ahead of season 1.
Emily is now more entrenched in her life in Paris, she’s getting better at navigating the city but still struggling with the idiosyncrasies of French life.
After stumbling into a love triangle with her neighbour and her first real French friend, Emily is determined to focus on her career, but it is getting more complicated by the day.
In French class, Emily meets a fellow ex-pat who infuriates but also intrigues her.

Season 2 is stuffed with relationship breakdowns, new romance, and some of the most beautiful locations. Seriously, if you want to daydream about travelling then this show will leave you full of wanderlust.
What I loved most about the second season of Emily in Paris was the bigger role the supporting characters played. We see completely new sides to characters like Mindy, Gabriel and even Sylvie. It gives the show a completely different edge and draws you in even more.
Camilla Razat, who plays Camille on the show, said “It will be a rollercoaster. It’s much more complicated. There are many more emotional scenes.
Also, season 2 takes place in a Covid-free world, so if that doesn’t convince you to watch it then I don’t know what will.
