Taken too soon.

Galway teenager Kirsty Bohan has been laid to rest after she died in the tragic Headford car crash.

The teenager was one of two killed in the devastating accident on Monday, April 10th.

Kirsty’s loved ones gathered at the Church of St Patrick and Cuana Corner Chapel.

Kirsty was remembered as a beloved friend, sister, and daughter.

According to RTÉ, Fr Dixie Fabe said “cruel fate took her away”.

“She also had many friends … and made friends easily … and they brought her much joy. She was just about to spread her wings among her community and the world,” he said.

Following the funeral service, Kirsty was laid to rest in Donaghpatrick Cemetery.

Tributes have been pouring in for the young teenager since news of her untimely death broke.

One said, “A lovely young camogie player gone to play camogie with the Angels.”

Another wrote, “Kirsty will never be forgotten.”

Kirsty is survived by her heartbroken parents Christy and Theresa, and her sisters Martha and Ava.

Her friend Lukas Joyce, also 14, will be laid to rest on Saturday.

Two other teenagers were also injured in the car accident, but are being treated for injuries at University Hospital Galway.
