Midterm has commenced.

And if you are anyhing like us, you are already looking for things to do that will entertain the kids – even just for a few moments so you have time to sit down and put your feet up or even mange to hang the washing, God forbid.

Need to projects to keep the kids entertained this weekend?

Why not try these:

1. Rice Krispie pumpkins

Get the kids into the kitchen for an afternoon of fun, seasonal baking. We love baking Rice Krispie treats at any given time, and these cute little pumpkin-shaped ones makes for the perfect Halloween-y twist.

Recipe and instructions can be found here.

2. Pin the spider on the web

Now, show us the kids who wouldn’t like a seasonal spin on this old classic.

3. Apple stamping

Remember doing these in school? Well, we pretty much guarantee your kids are going to love doing them too. And the best bit? They are so easy.

All you need to do is help your children cut the apples in half and pat them dry, provide them with some paint and paper – and voila.
