4 in 5 Mothers Are The Main Cook in The Home, Reveals Study

HerFamily

Last week it was revealed that husbands create an extra seven hours of housework (that their other halves usually end up doing) and now another study is saying that the majority of Irish mums are the main cook in their house.

Husbands, it’s time to step up!

The research from Whirlpool found that 84 per cent of mothers do the bulk of the cooking in the home.

This probably explains why almost half – 42 per cent to be precise – say that their mum’s cooking is better than anyone else’s.

However this isn’t enough to make them get their finger out with only 44 per cent of those asked saying that they have done the cooking on Mother’s Day.

Three quarters of people have shown their appreciation by buying chocolate (it would need to be a big box if you ask us!) for the occasion.
