Bravo.

Amy Schumer has responded after she was criticised for returning to work two weeks after the birth of her son, Gene.

The comedian and her husband, Chris Fisher, welcomed their little boy on May 5.

Since then, she’s shared a load of glimpses into her life as a mum with her Instagram followers – including some adorable photos of herself and her newborn.

On Tuesday, she shared another update with fans – she has officially returned to work.

The 37-year-old posted a photo of herself in the middle of a stand-up stage, which she captioned: “I’m back!”

And while many commenters praised her as an “amazing person” and a “rockstar,” some others felt…very, very differently.

“Jesus, Amy. Let the stitches dissolve first. I’m still on the couch and my youngest is three,” one person said.

“I’m sorry. What?! Didn’t you birth a human like 5 minutes ago?” someone else wrote.

“Like, I can still smell your placenta…take a damn break ffs,” another person commented.

Another person bizarrely claimed that she had given birth as a “publicity stunt,” writing:

“Wow, you’re that desperate to get back your fame, that you waited a mere 2 weeks, after giving birth, to get back on stage.

“That boy was a publicity stunt. And now here come the ‘being a parent is hard’ jokes.”

However, Amy had the best response to the people criticising her: sharing a candid photo of herself pumping, and “sending out love” to the mums who had shamed her.

“Sending out love to the moms shaming me for doing standup last night,” she captioned the photo.
