The most annoying phrase dads hear has been revealed

Today is Father’s Day, meaning we’re all thinking of our dads and the dads in our lives.

No matter what kind of father a man is to his kids, it looks like dads are still perceived a little differently to mums in society.

A new survey has revealed the most annoying phrase dads regularly hear is “You’ve got him well trained.”

Parenting website ChannelMum questioned 2,000 fathers in the UK for the research.

A third of dads said they hear patronising comments at least three times a week, even though the majority of those surveyed believed the parenting load is split evenly between themselves and their partner.

“Modern men are doing more parenting than ever before so that’s why it’s frustrating for dads when people are still surprised they can care effectively for their kids,” website founder Siobhan Freegard told The Independent.

Many of the phrases in the top 20, like “Are you babysitting today?” and “You’re such a hands-on dad” are more than a bit condescending, indicating that dads aren’t trusted as parents as much as mums are.
