This boy wrote to the tooth fairy for a pay rise and got a hilarious response

His face is priceless.

Sounds like the tooth fairy loves a good pun.

A little boy in the US has learned that if you don’t ask, you don’t get.

The boy wrote to the tooth fairy seeking a pay rise for the teeth he left under his pillow and was surprised to get a rather lovely letter back.

He wanted $5 per tooth, a hefty rise on the current rate of $1 per tooth, but it turns out that the tooth fairy appreciates a little initiative.

Here’s the letter the boy received, which a family friend shared over on Reddit.

A friend’s son got $1 from the tooth fairy a couple days ago. He wrote her a letter asking to upgrade his $1 to $5. This was the tooth fairy’s response. from funny

“It looks as though we need to Brush Up on our extraction skills and the going rate for teeth,” wrote the tooth fairy.

“It was very bold of you to ask for more money. Since all your teeth have been cavity free we decided to increase your TPO (tooth pay out) by $1 for all future extractions.”

The tooth fairy made it clear, however, that any cavity-filled teeth will incur a bill as tooth fairies cannot take CFTs (cavity-filled teeth) away.

Judging by the look on the boy’s face, he couldn’t believe he’d gotten away with a rise.

If nothing else, the letter shows the value of asking for more if you feel you deserve it – you might just be rewarded!
