It’s set to be an emotional one.
The BBC has revealed that Tom Hardy’s final Bedtime Story will air on CBeebies later this month.
The actor has become renowned for his gentle delivery of children’s stories on the children’s TV channel, appearing alongside his dog Woody.
His appearances on the evening time story-telling show have been just as popular with mums as with tots for perhaps obvious reasons, but we were all left heartbroken in June at the news that Woody had passed away.
Tom penned a heartfelt letter to his pet, who he rescued while shooting film Lawless in the US in 2011, just days after his death that still has welling up.
Yesterday CBeebies announced on Twitter that Tom and Woody’s last Bedtime Story would be broadcast on Saturday 26 August.

The channel clarified that Tom and his family are treating the episode as a tribute to the dog.
We’d like to thank Tom and his family who have allowed us to show this as a tribute to the memory of their dog Woody.

We’ll definitely have the tissues at the ready and will be tuning in.
