One mum wanted a very different type of breastfeeding picture for a special reason.
Yaky Di Roma, the woman behind Di Roma Photography, wanted to buck the trend with her breastfeeding picture with her three-year-old son Hans.
Deciding to dress as Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty, the mum captured the moment herself and the results are truly stunning.
However, the mum’s picture quickly drew questions from followers asking her why she was still nursing her son.
The photographer told HuffPost her story, and it’s truly touching.
Revealing that her son has autism, Yaky says he finds calm when she feeds him.
“Of course I want to do whatever I can to help him,” she said. “I just want to be a good mom and in the end, that’s what moms want to do, right?
“Be good moms to their little ones.”
The mum also shared her thought process behind choosing a Disney villain, saying:
“I wanted to break the rules of the soft and airy mom photo.”
