This is TOO cute.

A mum’s photo of what she found inside her toddler son’s coat has gone viral for the sweetest reason.

Katie Munnik was getting ready to wash her four-year-old son’s winter coat, and began emptying out the pockets – which is when she came across his mini-collection of keepsakes.

She emptied out the contents of the pocket onto the table, and couldn’t resist capturing a photo of the treasures he had amassed.

The youngster’s heartwarming collection of everyday items includes everything from a  toy snake to a crumpled up Pokémon card – and an assortment of almost-identical sized twigs.

He had also held on to a bottle cap, some rocks, as well some 2p coins.

Munnik tweeted alongside the photo:

“Found in the pockets of a four-year-old’s winter coat before washing.”

Her little boy’s collection soon won over the hearts of social media users, with the tweet getting more than 15,000 likes and almost 2,000 retweets.

Many declared it to be a “wonderful” collection, and were instantly charmed by the little boy’s heap of treasures.

Someone also pointed out that the twigs were all around the same size, and that the “size must be precious in some way.”

According to Munnik, they are.

She clarified that her son sought out those sticks as they were “palm-length”, adding:

“He said they are good to hold.”

Others suggested ways for her to hold onto the treasures, so that she can show her son them when he is older.
