The heartwarming gift North West gave Kim before her Paris trip

"Mommy, this will keep you safe."

Kim Kardashian has opened up about a gesture her daughter North made shortly before her fateful trip to Paris almost a year ago.

In October of 2016, the mum-of-two was held at gunpoint and bound and gagged by thieves at the apartment she was staying at during Fashion Week in the French capital.

They made off with over $10 million worth of jewellery but the trauma of the incident has been a far bigger loss on the reality star.

“It really changed our lives,” Kim told The Hollywood Reporter last month.

“This extra layer of security needed to happen. On social media, I’ll never post something where I’m at home unless I know there’s four to six security.”

Now Kim has revealed that she had been nervous about travelling to Paris beforehand, fearing she’d be caught up in a terror attack.

She even saw a therapist before embarking on the trip and said her daughter North, then aged three, sensed that she was anxious.

“She gave me a little plastic treasure box, and she put her little jewels in it — like fake little plastic jewels — and she was like, ‘Mommy, this will keep you safe when you go to Paris’,” Kim told Allure.

Kim now brings the treasure box everywhere with her, she said.

“To have something really sweet like that is more important to me than all the jewellery,” she says.
