Holly Willoughby Shares Her “Truly Happy” Bedtime Routine For Babies

Trine Jensen-Burke

Getting our babies into a nice routine at bedtime is pretty much the Holy Grail for parents everywhere.

You can obviously achieve this by the aul’ trial and error process, but we think just copying this lovely routine British TV presenter Holly Willoughby just shared from her book, Truly Happy Baby, is much easier – and probably far more effective too.

Holly, 35, is, of course, mum to Harry, seven, Belle, five, and Chester, two, with producer Dan Baldwin, so lets just assume she knows a thing or two about getting babies to sleep.

In a snippet from the book Willoughby shared on Instagram this week, the mum-of-three detailed the four things you should do before bed.

A chart shows babies should have a bath at 6:30pm, have a massage and be put in their pyjamas at 6:40pm and be read a story at 6:45pm.

Then, it’s time for milk at 6:55pm before bed at 7pm.

‘The big bedtime routine from #TrulyHappyBaby,’ Hollt captioned the photo.

Many mums have since commented on the post, sharing their own evening routine with Willoughby.

“@hollywilloughby this is exactly the routine we have ☺️ works wonders,” commented one fan.

“I do this apart from the bath. Do you bath every night? I have a six-week-old and I don’t want her dry like a prune but I want to give this a go,” wrote another.

What do YOU think, mamas? Are you following a routine similar to this when putting your babies to bed? Or does bedtime look different in your house? Let us know in the comments or tweet us at @Herfamilydotie
